Cuckoo (Kiko)

Admin Manager

Meet Kiko (aka Cuckoo) 🐾 Hello! My name is Kiko, but everyone lovingly calls me Cuckoo. I'm the Admin Manager of the household, and I take my responsibilities very seriously. My main duties include chasing absolutely everything that moves, making sure everyone stays in line, supervising from the best spot in the house, and, of course, enjoying plenty of cuddles and naps with my daddy, Neil. I proudly manage a wonderful team. Neil, James, Jonathan, and Thomas all report to me, and they're such a lovely bunch. They do their best to keep up with my very high standards, and I make sure they're all where they should be—whether that means reminding them it's time for treats, playtime, or giving me the attention I deserve. When I'm not busy managing my team, you'll usually find me curled up asleep, enjoying a cuddle, or preparing for my next important inspection of the house. After all, every great team needs a great Admin Manager... and that's me, Kiko—better known as Cuckoo! 🐾❤️

Neil

Co-Founder & Community Lead

Hi, I'm Neil, and I live in a small village just outside Aberystwyth with my fiancé, James—who, if you ask me, deserves a medal for putting up with me! I'm the proud co-founder of an amazing community that's become a real passion project. Seeing our members get involved, support one another, and help the group grow is what makes it all worthwhile. Building a welcoming, inclusive space where people can connect and feel at home is something I'm incredibly proud of. At home, life is never quiet! We have three lovable corgis—Sali, Honey, and Tilly—along with our three feline companions, Penny, Dusty, and Kiko, who has proudly appointed himself our "Admin Manager" (although "Cuckoo" is often a more fitting title!). When I'm not working on the group, you'll usually find me swimming, planning the next holiday, curled up with a good book, experimenting in the kitchen, or creating websites and apps. I love bringing ideas to life, whether it's through technology, design, or finding new ways to make our community even better. For me, it's all about creating connections, having a laugh, and making sure everyone feels like they belong.

James

Co-Founder & Admin Team

Hi, I'm James, and I live in a small village just outside Aberystwyth with my fiancé, Neil—who definitely keeps life interesting! They say I deserve a medal, and I'm not about to argue. While Neil loves being front and centre with the group, I'm happier working quietly in the background, making sure everything keeps ticking along. I'm incredibly proud of what we've built together and enjoy watching our amazing community thrive, even if I'd rather let others take the spotlight. Our home is ruled by six furry bosses: three corgis—Sali, Honey, and Tilly—and three cats—Penny, Dusty, and Kiko. Kiko may think he's the Admin Manager, but I'm convinced he's actually the CEO! Unlike Neil, you're more likely to find me avoiding the swimming pool than diving into it, choosing a film over a book, ordering a takeaway instead of experimenting in the kitchen, and spending less time building websites and apps and more time switching off and enjoying a bit of peace and quiet. While Neil is always dreaming up the next big idea, I'm usually the one reminding him to take a break. Life is all about balance, plenty of laughs, and making sure Neil doesn't take on too many projects at once. Watching our community grow and seeing the friendships that have formed along the way makes it all worthwhile.

Thomas

Senior Community Admin

Hi, I'm Thomas, one of the Admin Team members, and I'm based in Blackpool. I love living by the coast, and you'll often find me enjoying a good walk along the seafront, taking in the fresh sea air and everything Blackpool has to offer. One of my favourite parts of being an admin is meeting new members and helping to create a welcoming, friendly community. Being part of this group is something I can really sink my teeth into, and I enjoy coming up with engaging posts that keep everyone involved and the conversations flowing. At home, I have a gorgeous ginger cat called Leo, and he's an absolute dream. He's never far away and always keeps me company after a busy day. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and helping make this group a fun, supportive, and engaging place for everyone!

Jonathan

Hi, I'm Jonathan, and I'm proud to be one of the amazing admin team members behind this fantastic community. I love meeting new people and making new friends, and one of the things I enjoy most about being part of the admin team is helping our members feel welcome and ensuring everyone has a positive experience. With a background in customer service, I always try to be approachable, helpful, and ready to lend a hand whenever I can. Outside of the group, you'll usually find me with a camera in hand. Photography is one of my biggest passions, and I love getting out and capturing the beauty of the local area, whether it's stunning landscapes, wildlife, or those little moments that often go unnoticed. Being part of this group is incredibly rewarding. It's a pleasure to help alongside my great friends James, Neil, and Thomas, and together we're committed to making this a friendly, supportive, and enjoyable community for everyone. I'm looking forward to getting to know more of you and sharing plenty of photographs along the way!

Michael

Community Moderator & Admin

Michael is the newest member of the Gay Men’s Social Group UK (Over 40+) Admin Team. By day, Michael is a hotel receptionist, welcoming guests with that trademark smile of his. By night, he swaps the front desk for the group and becomes our sleek Moderator and Admin support, helping to keep everything running smoothly and making sure our members feel welcome and supported. A true happy chappy, Michael is friendly, approachable and always ready to help anyone who needs it. His warm personality, lovely smile and supportive nature have already made him a much-loved part of our community. We’re delighted to have Michael as part of the Admin Team and know he’ll continue to bring plenty of kindness, laughter and positivity to the group. 🌈💙 Welcome to the team, Michael!
